Setting up a new Curvo workspace involves seven straightforward steps. By the end of this process, your company will be provisioned, your commercial parameters locked in, and your team ready to start using Curvo immediately.
Step 1: Enter Company Details
Start with the basic information about the organization.
Company name: The name of your customer's organization
Primary admin email: The email address of the person who will manage the workspace. They'll receive the acceptance invitation.
Billing currency: Choose from USD, GBP, EUR, or other currencies. This is for display only. Managed accounts are not connected to Stripe billing.
Step 2: Select Customer Type
This is the most critical decision in the wizard. The customer type you select determines which features are enabled, how users interact with Curvo, and what their onboarding experience will look like.
Choose from four types:
Feature | Post-Call Analytics | In-Call Coaching | Meeting Bot | Desktop Recording |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Post-Call Only | ✔ | ✖ | ✔ | ✔ (via bot) |
Post-Call + In-Call Bot | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ (via bot) |
Post-Call + In-Call Companion | ✔ | ✔ | ✖ | ✔ (via Companion) |
Companion Only | ✖ | ✔ | ✖ | ✖ |
What each type means for your customer:
Post-Call Only: The bot joins calls automatically, records them, and provides post-call analysis. No in-call coaching. Best for teams that want meeting intelligence without live bot participation.
Post-Call + In-Call Bot: The bot joins calls for recording and in-call coaching. Reps can use Companion alongside the bot for enhanced support.
Post-Call + In-Call Companion: No bot joins calls. The Companion app handles all recording and in-call coaching. Best for teams that prefer a bot-free experience or need local recording control.
Companion Only: Recording is fully disabled at the workspace level. In-call coaching via Companion is the only feature. Best for organizations with strict recording policies or specific compliance needs.
⚠️ Important note on Companion Only: When you select this type, recording is disabled across the entire workspace, not just the bot. This is not reversible at the user level. Changing the customer type after creation is required to re-enable recording.
Note: Customer type is fully editable after creation by Curvo internal admins. If your customer's needs change, you can update the type and all feature flags will automatically adjust for active workspaces.
Step 3: Define Commercial Terms
Set the commercial structure of the deal.
Purchased seats: How many users will have access to the workspace
Deal type: Choose between Pilot/POC or Paid Rollout
Contract duration: Length of the agreement in months
Trial dates (POC deals only): Set the start and end dates to establish when the trial window expires
Step 4: Configure Language and Transcription
Choose the transcription setup based on your customer's language needs.
English-only workspaces: Select AssemblyAI, the default option with industry-leading English transcription accuracy
Multilingual workspaces: Select Gladia for superior transcription support across multiple languages
After selecting the transcription engine, specify which languages the workspace needs to support. This affects how meeting content is processed and analyzed.
Step 5: Set Recording Scope
Decide which meetings Curvo should record.
External meetings only: Record only calls with outside participants and exclude internal team meetings. If you select this option, you'll need to provide the company's internal email domain so Curvo can correctly identify which meetings to exclude.
All meetings: Record both internal and external calls
Step 6: Add Users (Optional)
You can pre-populate the workspace with team members even before the primary admin accepts their invitation. This ensures everyone is ready when the workspace goes live.
Two ways to add users:
Manual entry: Add users one by one. Best for small teams or when you're setting up during a live onboarding call.
CSV bulk import: Upload a spreadsheet with multiple users. Best for larger rollouts. The system will validate each row and surface any errors so you can fix and resubmit.
For each user, specify their email address and role:
Workspace Owner: Full access to all meetings in the workspace
Workspace Member Team: Can view all team members' meetings
Workspace Member Individual: Can only view their own meetings
Note: Users can accept and start using the workspace immediately, even before the primary admin accepts their invitation.
Step 7: Review and Create
Review your full configuration one final time, then click Create. Here's what happens automatically:
The workspace is provisioned immediately
An invitation email is sent to the primary admin
Invitation emails are sent to all pre-added team members in parallel
The admin and reps don't have to wait for each other. Everyone can start using their workspace right away.
After Creation: What the Customer Admin Needs to Do
Once the admin accepts their invitation and logs in, they'll need to complete a few setup steps on their end.
Connect their calendar: Link Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook so meetings are automatically detected
Connect their CRM: Integrate with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, or another CRM to sync call summaries and coaching insights
Upload their sales playbook: Add their methodology framework and knowledge base for AI coaching reference
Install Companion (for In-Call Companion and Companion Only types): Download and install the desktop app on team devices
Confirm retention and recording consent policy: Review and accept the organization's data retention and recording policies
Invite additional team members: Add anyone beyond those you pre-provisioned
By the time the admin logs in, all commercial settings, feature flags, and recording preferences are already configured. They'll land directly on the connections hub and won't need to walk through a separate configuration wizard.
You're All Set
Your workspace is live and your team is ready to go. Pre-added users can log in immediately, and the admin will find everything already configured when they accept their invitation.
